Our soap factory is pleased to present its range of cold-processed artisanal soaps, made from vegetable oils and organic essential oils, mostly fair trade and local. Their beautiful colors come exclusively from natural products such as clays, plant powders, and activated charcoal.
The Quality of Ingredients
We are convinced that the quality of a soap largely depends on the quality of the ingredients that compose it, which is why we are committed to selecting the best vegetable oils for the production of our soaps.
Cold Process vs. Hot Process Soap Making
But what is cold process soap making, and how does it differ from hot process soap making? Saponification is the chemical process that transforms fats, such as vegetable oils, into soap. Cold process soap making is an artisanal method that involves mixing vegetable oils with lye, then letting the mixture rest for several weeks, allowing the saponification reaction to occur naturally. This method preserves the properties of the vegetable oils and produces a superfat soap, rich in natural glycerin.
Hot process soap making, on the other hand, is an industrial method that involves heating the fats with lye and water, then separating the soap from the glycerin through centrifugation. This method allows for the production of soap in large quantities but alters the properties of the vegetable oils and produces soap with less glycerin.
Our Cold Process Soaps
Our cold process soaps are thus made using an artisanal and traditional method, which preserves the properties of the vegetable oils and produces a superior quality soap. We use a wide variety of organic and local vegetable oils, such as sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, hemp oil, grape seed oil, and plum kernel oil. We have also selected high-quality exotic ingredients from organic farming and fair trade, such as our raw shea butter, virgin coconut oil, castor oil, and raw cocoa butter, as well as many of our essential oils.
Our Range of Soaps
We offer soaps with or without essential oils, as well as shampoo soaps, which are actually multipurpose soaps suitable for both body and hair washing. We are committed to offering products suitable for all skin and hair types, which is why we have carefully assembled our ingredients so that everyone can find the soap or shampoo soap that suits them best.
Local and Organic Ingredients
We have also chosen to use French organic donkey milk and goat milk in some of our soaps, which we have sourced for several years from the same farmers with exemplary practices in every respect.
Control of Production
Finally, we have chosen to manage the entire production of our products to control their origin and traceability. Therefore, we do not use products from "green chemistry," such as surfactants like sodium cocoyl isethionate (SCI) or sodium coco sulfate (SCS). We prefer to use natural ingredients, such as precious oils, plant powders, and organic essential oils, which make excellent soaps for the body and hair. The oils and essential oils used as superfat can also be partially saponified to create finely formulated soaps, such as argan, castor, shea, grape seed, or cocoa.
Conclusion
As you can see, our artisanal soap factory is proud to offer cold process soaps made from superior quality, organic, local, and fair trade ingredients. Our soaps are suitable for all skin and hair types and are produced using an artisanal and traditional method that preserves the properties of the ingredients and produces a superior quality soap. We hope you enjoy our products as much as we enjoyed making them.
